ZoBall Announced as Official Game Ball Partner for NCL3x3 at Northumbria University

ZoBall is proud to be the Official Game Ball Partner for the upcoming NCL3x3 Basketball Tournament at Northumbria University — a major UK university basketball event bringing together players from across the student and wider basketball community.

Taking place on 25th March, the tournament promises a high-energy day of competitive 3x3 basketball with real community impact.

As part of this partnership, ZoBall will supply the official match balls for the Men’s competition and for the Women’s competition, all featuring the Northumbria University logo. These custom-branded tournament balls will be used throughout the event, delivering a professional on-court presence at one of the North East’s most exciting 3x3 basketball competitions.

What Is NCL3x3?

NCL3x3 is an 18+ open-entry basketball tournament hosted at Northumbria University, welcoming both students and external participants. The competition will follow a standard FIBA 3x3 format, beginning with group stages before progressing into knockout rounds to determine the champions.

With both Men’s and Women’s divisions, the tournament reflects the continued growth of grassroots basketball in the UK, particularly within university sport. It is designed to be competitive, fast-paced and community-driven — bringing together players from different backgrounds for a purpose-driven day of basketball.

Basketball With Purpose: Supporting Volunteer Zambia

This year’s event goes beyond competition. NCL3x3 is helping to raise funds for Volunteer Zambia, supporting international volunteering and community development initiatives.

Alongside the tournament, a raffle will take place during the day to increase engagement and fundraising efforts. The event showcases Northumbria University’s sporting culture, student leadership and commitment to community impact — combining competitive basketball with meaningful charitable action.

Growing UK 3x3 and University Basketball Together

At ZoBall, our mission is to help grow the game of basketball in the UK. Partnering with competitions like NCL3x3 allows us to support university tournaments, strengthen grassroots 3x3 development and elevate the professional presentation of student-led sporting events.

Throughout the tournament, ZoBall will have an on-site presence and will be documenting the event through content creation, capturing games, interviews, crowd moments and the finals atmosphere. Winning teams will also be highlighted across social media, extending the impact of the tournament beyond the court.

How to Get Involved

The NCL3x3 Tournament takes place on 25th March and is open to players aged 18 and over, including both students and external participants.

Teams can enter with 3–4 players for £25 or 5 players for £30. With limited spaces available, early registration is encouraged.
